THE CHALLENGE
In 2015, only 15% of children's books had people of color as their protagonists. These books also typically have smaller marketing budgets and limited distribution. While these parents and educators may agree that learning about the world is important for their child’s development, they may not always have the time to research and source these activities.
OUR SOLUTION
Each box has 2 hand-picked books and 1-2 activities for children ages 3-8. We select the books and activities by selecting a geographic region (Asia, Europe, Africa etc) and a universal theme (music, food, etc). For example, our October box was Asian Cuisine. We featured two books about the Filipino noodle dish pancit and the Korean rice dish bee-bim bop as well as popular Asian snacks.
